| LOGLINE Two young woman, one from LA and the other from Hawaii, using their special skills, form Black Sand and Coconut Investigations in Honolulu. They run their business off a 50 cabin cruise Captained by Jim who takes a active part in the business and a sometime farther figure. SYNOPSIS A TV series based on the PRIVATE INVESTIGATORS, SHEILA “BLACK SAND” ANDERSON and PUALANI “COCONUT” KAMAE. Both are owners of BLACK SAND AND COCONUT INVESTIGATIONS. Sheila is a tall black girl from LA, 26 years old, 6 foot tall and 130 pounds. She is a graduate of UCLA with special skills in computers and electronics. She is also the oldest daughter of an entertainment family in LA. Pualani (Pua) is 28, 5 feet 5 and 100 pounds. A good looking local Hawaiian, Filipino and Caucasian mix. She is a grad from the University of Hawaii and was in the US Army serving in Desert Strom. She was trained in weapons and explosives. She also knows Hawaii song and dance. The girls met at a Karate class in LA where they earned their Black Belts. The became great friends and a goal was hatched to move to Hawaii and set up a Private Investigation company with the name of Black Sand and Coconut. In Honolulu they operate off of a 50 white cabin cruiser, BLACK COCONUT, in the Ala Wai boat harbor. The boat is skippered and maintained by JIM an ex-Navy man they hired. He is 50 and 5 foot 11. Not only does he take care of the boat but becomes a “Father Figure” and takes an active part in the girl’s business. Sheila owns a Yellow LAMBORGHINI with lots of high tech electronic devises while Pua owns a custom red VW bug with a special built engine. In their first case, a micro chip smuggling operation, we are introduced to Honolulu Police Detective JIM COOPER. Cooper is their HPD contact and a courted love interest of Pua who always keeps him at bay. This series is designed to bring back the hay days of good series TV in Hawaii like Hawaii Five-O and Magnum PI while avoiding the pitfalls of Jack and the Fat Man, TJ Hooker, One West Waikiki and others.
