The USS Wahoo (SS565),s keel was laid down by Portsmouth Naval Shipyard, Kittery,  E, Oct. 24, 1949; Launched: OCT 16, 1951; Sponsored by Mrs. Harry W. Hill; Commissioned: May 30, 1952 with Cdr Eugene P. Wilkinson in command; Decommissioned: and struck from the Navy list MARCH 31. 1980; Sold for scrapping in 1994.  However the Wahoo lives on through the shipmates that sailed in her for all those years.  We meet every two years to honor her and renew our friendships.
