This is the website for American Karate kai West Oahu Dojo. Our system at American Karate Kai is a traditional style of karate known as Shorin-Ryu founded by Master Chosin Chibana. Here at AKK values such as respect, integrity and loyalty are stressed with the goal of having each student become a better person physically, mentally and spiritually. We are not a commercial school and requirements for promotion to advance through the ranks are based on ability, attitude and dedication. We are an AAU member school and participate in Local, National and International tournaments.
